Please note: The coins I use on these pages are there as props to help with scale so that you can appreciate the size of the beads, they are NOT included in the sale.
Welcome to my seconds page. I have been having one of my infrequent clear outs and these are all the beads I have made that don't quite make the grade. There are various reasons that I have rejected these beads from my main pages, they might be experimental beads I just didn't like the look of or they may be a little uneven and wonky or just not fit in with the rest of a batch as I tend to make beads up into pairs.
They are however finished to the same high standards as are all my beads. This is because I find it more convenient to finish each bead form an entire batch, removing the bead release with a diamond tipped tool and then bevelling the holes to remove any sharp edges before grading them.
There are no cracked or damaged beads in these listings as any that I find are removed and put into my recycling tin.
My seconds lots I always list on eBay and sell to the highest bidder, starting at just 99p. I will make a link to the auction for these lots as I list them on eBay, so that you can bid if you see any that you are interested in.

Mixed lot of Large "Pandora" size Hole Glass beads - SECONDS
Item 2010 - SEC008
These 10 x Art Glass Beads I have made with large approx. 4.8 - 5.4mm holes with a view to then be made into Silver Core Beads to fit Pandora, Troll, Chamilia etc. . However I did not think these were quite good enough to spend a lot of time making and then fitting them with custom .925 Silver Cores, especially as Sterling Silver is so expensive and I only have a limited supply of Sterling Silver tubing.
These UNCORED beads could perhaps have the much less expensive white metal or Silver plated glue in flared ends fitted that I have seen for sale elsewhere and still make nice looking cored beads.
Or they could be used just the way they are, as plain glass lampwork beads but with much larger holes than usual....

Mixed lot of Large "Pandora" size Hole Glass beads - SECONDS
Item 2010 - SEC009
These 8 x Art Glass Beads I have made with large approx. 5.3 - 5.6mm holes with a view to then be made into Silver Core Beads to fit Pandora, Troll, Chamilia etc. . However I did not think these were quite good enough to spend a lot of time making and then fitting them with custom .925 Silver Cores, especially as Sterling Silver is so expensive and I only have a limited supply of Sterling Silver tubing.
These UNCORED beads could perhaps have the much less expensive white metal or Silver plated glue in flared ends fitted that I have seen for sale elsewhere and still make nice looking cored beads.
Or they could be used just the way they are, as plain glass lampwork beads but with much larger holes than usual.... This lot has some quite large almost focal tube beads, with of course the large holes.

Mixed lot of Glass Lentil Beads - SECONDS
Item 2010 - SEC010
This is a mixed lot of 15 x Art Glass Lentil shaped beads, they also have a mixture of hole sizes from approx. 2.6 - 3.5mm. Like all my glass lentil beads the holes in these have been beveled to accept a good fit with either small ball or bicone spacers. The beads are approx. 17.6mm to 19.5mm in diameter and so are suitable as small focal beads for bracelets etc...........

Item 2010 - SEC001
A mixed lot of Seconds.

The one on the bottom right was unfortunately sitting on something while being annealed and has some small surface dents. You can see this if you look closely at the first photo, only one side was affected the other side is fine. The photos show both sides of these large glass lampwok beads. They are approx. 30mm or 1 1/4 inch in Diameter with approx. 2.5mm holes.

Item 2010 - SEC003
14 x Lampwork Glass Tube beads, these did not turn out quite right, so I am listing as Seconds. Sizes are all different but vary from approx. 42mm to 15.3mm long and approx. 16mm to 10mm in diameter. All have holes approx. 2mm or just over, appart from the short stubby Blue Raku bead (top lerf in the photos) which has approx. 3.5mm hole.

Item 2010 - SEC004
In this lot, 20 x Lampwork Glass Roundel Beads in a mixture of colours that did not turn out as well as I had hoped. The largest bead is aoorox. 17.5mm in diameter and the smallest approx. 14.7mm in diameter, all have approx.3.5mm or just over holes.
